Pakistan smoldering after Imran’s arrest, governor’s house-army office occupied

Pakistan is on fire after the arrest of former PM Imran Khan. There are reports of violence from across the country. Imran’s supporters are doing arson and vandalism. Meanwhile, Imran has also received a setback from the Islamabad High Court. The High Court has upheld the arrest of Imran. Imran’s party PTI has called protests across the country. In view of the violence, Section 144 has been imposed across Pakistan.

Twitter service has now stopped after mobile internet in Pakistan. The Pakistan Telecom Authority confirmed that mobile broadband has been suspended across the country on the instructions of the Ministry of Interior. According to media reports, all social media sites including WhatsApp and Facebook have also been blocked. Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan had arrived at the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday for a hearing in some cases. As soon as Imran Khan’s car enters inside the High Court, the soldiers of the paramilitary force enter the High Court.

While Imran Khan was getting his biometrics done inside the Islamabad High Court, Pakistan Army Rangers entered the room breaking the glass, and arrested him. Imran’s party PTI initially called his arrest a kidnapping. After arresting Imran Khan, Pak Rangers dragged him to the car. Violent demonstrations started in the city of Islamabad only after his arrest and soon violent demonstrations started taking place all over the country.

After the arrest of the former PM of Pakistan, the atmosphere deteriorated so much that the government had to implement Section 144 in the entire country. Against the arrest of Imran Khan, his party PTI had reached the Islamabad High Court and demanded from the court that the former PM be released. The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court took this matter seriously and immediately summoned all the officers to the courtroom on Tuesday i.e. yesterday afternoon itself, although Imran Khan did not get any relief in the decision which came late at 10.30 pm.
