Siddaramaiah On PM Modi: On Saturday, May 20, Siddaramaiah took oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. Along with this, Congress Committee President DK Shivakumar also took oath as Deputy Chief Minister. CM Siddaramaiah has expressed hope of working closely with PM Modi.
Actually PM Modi congratulated Siddaramaiah on becoming the CM of Karnataka and DK Shivakumar on becoming the Deputy CM. In response to this, Siddaramaiah’s office i.e. CMO replied that thanks to PM Modi for the congratulation. Further said that we expect your (PM Modi) cooperation regarding cooperative federalism.
Who became the minister?
Besides Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, former Pradesh Congress Committee president G Parameshwara, MB Patil, Priyanka Kharge, son of party national president Mallikarjun Kharge, senior leaders KH Muniyappa, KJ George, Satish Jarkiholi, Ramalinga Reddy and BZ Jamir. Ahmed Khan took the oath of office. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath at the swearing-in ceremony held at Shri Kanteerava Stadium.

The oath ceremony was held in the presence of several prominent leaders of the opposition. Congress has tried to give the message of opposition unity through this programme. It was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and many other senior Congress leaders.
